When working with the Patsos Law Office, you will receive the individualized attention of a small law firm backed by the big law experience that Catherine Patsos brings to the firm. Your issues and concerns become those of the firm, and your calls and emails will be returned promptly.
When you contact the Patsos Law Office, Catherine will briefly discuss your matter with you. If, based on this discussion, she believes that the firm can meet your needs, and you agree to engage the firm to do so, Catherine will prepare and send you a retainer agreement which sets forth the terms of the relationship and between you and the firm, and describes the general terms of the firm’s assistance to you in your matter.
However, if it is necessary to gather further in-depth information in order to determine whether engaging the firm is appropriate, Catherine will schedule a free consultation with you at your convenience. At the conclusion of the consultation, you and she will decide whether to enter into a retainer agreement.
The Patsos Law Office makes every effort to bill its clients fairly and clearly for fees and expenses, and to represent its clients’ interests zealously and diligently. The firm requests a retainer fee upon signing the retainer agreement and prior to commencing any work on a matter. Most matters are billed at hourly rates for legal and paralegal work. In addition, clients are required to reimburse the firm for costs and expenses which may be incurred in connection with the firm’s representation. Any single charge or expense that exceeds $500.00 must be paid in advance of the firm incurring such charge or expense. Any unused portion of the retainer remaining at the conclusion of the firm’s representation will be refunded to the client.
Because the Patsos Law Office does not want to discourage its clients from making minor inquiries for fear of running up legal bills, in many cases, the firm does not charge for brief telephone or email communications which do not constitute the provision of legal services.
The Patsos Law Office sends each client monthly invoices which reflect the amount of the firm’s fees and expenses attributable to the client’s matter. The invoices indicate the total fees due for legal work accomplished and the total costs and expenses charged to the matter, if applicable. The invoices will also indicate the work performed; the time spent on the task; and the total fee and expenses amount due.
The Patsos Law Office accepts payment via check, American Express, Visa, Master Card and Discover. The firm reserves the right to adjust its fees from time to time, and any new rates will apply to all services rendered after the effective date. Additional payment requirements may apply.
